What We Need
The Team Lead, Data Technology & Platforms is a pivotal leadership role responsible for managing a specialized group of engineers dedicated to the foundational architecture of 2K’s data ecosystem. Overseeing four critical pillars—Platform Architecture, DataOps, MLOps, and Data Quality—this role harmonizes these disciplines to create a seamless, self-service data environment. The Team Lead ensures that 2K’s studios and data scientists can efficiently move from raw telemetry to actionable insights, aligning technical strategy with the organization's global strategic goals.

Manage and mentor a team of 3 direct reports. Define and drive company-wide data quality strategy and best practices. Establish and enforce SLAs, KPIs, and monitoring frameworks. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated data validation checks. Partner with game developers and backend engineers for accurate instrumentation. Lead investigations into complex data issues and schema drift. Support data governance initiatives and privacy regulations. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related technical field. Extensive experience in data engineering or data quality, including prior management/lead capacity. Expert-level SQL skills with large-scale, event-driven data. Strong proficiency with data pipeline and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Spark). Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable data validation and monitoring. Experience in gaming industry or high-volume live-service preferred. Familiarity with data observability tools (Great Expectations, Monte Carlo) preferred. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, GCP, or Azure) preferred. Knowledge of player behavior analytics and experimentation (A/B testing) preferred.
