CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Tech QA Manager to join the Polaris project, The Witcher 4. In this role, you will manage a Technical QA team within the project, adapting the project QA strategy into clear team plans, priorities and measurable outcomes.
You will be responsible for developing a high-performing Tech QA team, ensuring reliable milestone verification, maintaining visibility on technical quality status and risks, and continuously improving QA workflows, tools, reporting, and technical testing practices within your area of ownership.
You will collaborate closely with Production, Development, Tech, Shared Development Services, QA Experts, other QA Managers, and cross-functional teams to support technical integrity, engine and tools quality, performance, stability, gameplay consistency, and development pipeline reliability.
Responsibilities:
Team Management & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the Tech QA team while fostering accountability, role clarity, and continuous skill growth.
Strategic QA Implementation: Adapt & Implement the overarching Polaris QA strategy into practical testing approaches, measurable outcomes, and clear team priorities.
Quality Execution & Delivery: Own testing execution and milestone verification, ensuring tasks are completed on time and meet technical quality standards.
Data-Driven Risk Management: Monitor technical quality metrics, KPIs, and bug trends to identify risks early and build practical mitigation plans.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with development, production, and external QA vendors to coordinate dependencies, technical requests, and alignment.
Transparent Quality Reporting: Maintain clear, data-informed reporting on quality status, blockers, and project readiness for all relevant stakeholders.
Process & Tool Optimization: Drive continuous improvements in QA workflows, tools, testing frameworks, technical documentation, and overall team effectiveness.
Hands-on Technical Support: Provide direct assistance with complex technical investigations, issue analysis, and debugging workflows when required.
5+ Years previous experience Leading or Managing Tech QA Teams.
5+ Years experience with direct performance management and career development.
5+ Years experience in game development.
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, bug workflows, defect management, test planning, test coverage, technical QA practices, and quality reporting.
Experience working with Unreal Engine or in house engine and its editor tools.
Strong understanding of game development lifecycles and the ability to develop and execute testing strategies covering integration, stress, performance, stability, tools, engine, platform, and technical feature validation.
Experience working with QA metrics, KPIs, bug trends.
Experience with performance analysis, profiling tools, crash analysis, memory investigations, platform-specific testing, or console development environments.
Experience with Unreal insights, engine profiling, crash debugging.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly present technical quality status, risks, blockers, priorities, and recommendations.
Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, test plans, test reports, dashboards, or quality summaries.
Experience improving QA workflows, reporting models, dashboards, technical metrics, or test management processes.
Experience working with external QA vendors, distributed QA teams, or cross-location development teams.
Strong ownership, accountability, emotional maturity, and ability to work effectively under pressure, ambiguity, and changing priorities.
Strong alignment with RED values and the ability to act as a role model in communication, decision-making, collaboration, and leadership.

Estimated pay range for this position: 23 900 - 32 800 PLN gross monthly. This role may be eligible for a long term incentive program (option to purchase CDPR stock after the vesting period).
