Position Overview:
ReelShort is seeking a strategic and culturally fluent brand leader to own our brand across Greater Asia, with an initial focus on Chinese-language audiences across Southeast Asia. Based in the Bay Area or Hong Kong, this role sets brand positioning in region, converts audience and performance insight into upstream content direction, and drives that direction through our Content and Production teams. You are the number-one owner of the brand narrative in region.

Our target salary range for this role is between $150,000 and $200,000. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, competitive healthcare, and other employee benefits.
8+ years in brand strategy, content marketing, or entertainment marketing, including at least 2 years setting strategy and executing it. Proven experience across both Asian and Western markets. Professional fluency in Mandarin and English, written and spoken. Hands-on background in entertainment marketing and publicity (trailer strategy, release windows, press and platform coordination). Demonstrable content judgment: you can articulate why a story works for a specific audience, not only how to distribute it. Comfortable as a team of one to start, with the ability to build a function as the region scales. Experience with short-form vertical drama, webtoon, web novel, or micro-drama formats a plus. Existing relationships with distribution platforms or talent agencies across Greater Asia a plus. Prior work at a Chinese-language streaming platform or studio a plus. Humble, resourceful, and effective at influencing teams you do not manage.
