👀 The Role
Title: Junior Compliance Officer - Gibraltar
Team: Compliance
Location: Gibraltar, 5 days in office
This role will support Midnite’s compliance operations across the UK and Ireland, with the role based in Gibraltar. Sitting within the Compliance function and reporting into the UK&I Compliance Officer, you’ll help maintain strong regulatory standards while supporting a business that moves quickly and responsibly.
A key part of the role will be owning data subject access requests and data erasure requests under GDPR, ensuring these are handled accurately, carefully, and within regulatory timelines. You’ll also support regulatory returns, key events, policy and procedure maintenance, internal audits, due diligence, responsible gambling, AML, and wider operational compliance work.
As a junior member of the team, you’ll be supported by experienced compliance colleagues while building practical knowledge of gambling regulation, data protection, responsible gambling, AML, regulatory reporting, and operational governance. Over time, there will be room to shape your development around the areas of compliance that interest you most.
You will:
Own and manage DSARs and data erasure requests under GDPR
Compile, review, and redact customer data accurately and within required timelines
Support the monitoring and application of UK and Ireland gambling regulatory requirements
Help prepare quarterly regulatory returns and key event notifications
Monitor regulatory developments in the UK and Ireland
Assist with maintaining policies, procedures, and document control
Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, due diligence, and evidence gathering
Support responsible gambling, player protection, AML, and financial crime compliance processes
Help review product, player journey, and operational processes for compliance considerations
Partner with Product, Operations, Player Support, Engineering, and wider teams to support compliance-by-design
Identify, document, and escalate compliance risks appropriately
Provide clear, practical compliance support to stakeholders, with guidance from senior colleagues
The next Midniter:
Has some exposure to compliance, data protection, risk, legal, regulatory operations, gambling, fintech, financial services, or another regulated environment
Is motivated to build expertise in UK and Ireland gambling regulation and operational compliance
Has an understanding of GDPR requirements, or the ability to learn them quickly
Ideally has awareness of gambling, responsible gambling, player protection, AML, or financial crime compliance
Is highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with documentation, trackers, and process-driven casework
Can manage caseloads and fixed deadlines with accuracy and consistency
Communicates clearly, asks good questions, and escalates risks appropriately
Collaborates effectively across teams and enjoys working in a fast-moving environment
Brings good judgement when handling sensitive data and regulatory risk
Thrives in high-growth environments where ownership, pace, and ambiguity are part of the day to day
