We’re looking for a Senior VFX Artist to join the CD PROJEKT RED team dedicated to crafting the studio’s first-ever original IP and video game, codenamed Project Hadar. We believe the universe we are creating is one bursting with limitless potential, and we want you to help us broaden and utilize it, making sure it not only matches gamers’ high expectations set by past CD PROJEKT RED titles but exceeds them.
As a Senior VFX Artist, you will play an important role in defining and delivering high-quality visual effects for Project Hadar. Working closely with artists, designers, programmers, and other disciplines, you will create, prototype, and optimize real-time VFX while contributing to workflows, sharing your expertise, and helping push the visual quality of the project.

Daily Responsibilities
Create, prototype, implement, and optimize high-quality visual effects in Unreal Engine 5.
Develop particle systems and real-time VFX that support gameplay, characters, cinematics, and environments.
Collaborate with artists, designers, programmers, and other disciplines to deliver cohesive player experiences.
Contribute to the development and improvement of VFX workflows and pipelines.
Research, prototype, and explore new techniques and technologies to enhance visual quality and production efficiency.
Ensure VFX content meets quality, performance, and memory budgets.
Debug, profile, and optimize visual effects throughout development.
Share knowledge, provide technical guidance, and support the growth of fellow team members.
Demonstrated professional experience creating real-time visual effects for games.
Strong artistic sensibility, with a sharp eye for detail, composition, and motion.
Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine 5.
Expertise in real-time simulations and optimization.
Advanced skills with VFX tools and pipelines, including Niagara.
Understanding of rendering techniques, shaders, lighting, and real-time graphics.
Strong understanding of performance optimization for real-time VFX.
Commitment to taking ownership, sharing knowledge, and driving work independently.
Curiosity and willingness to learn, experiment, and continuously improve.
Clear and empathetic communication skills.
Fluent English, written and spoken.

Estimated pay range for this position: 20 100 – 31 790 PLN gross monthly. Final offers are dependent on job-related factors like experience and qualifications.
