As a full-stack Software Engineer on the Payments team at Riot Games, you will build end-to-end systems for the global commerce infrastructure, creating secure, scalable, and responsive payment experiences. You will work across the stack, developing expertise alongside experienced engineers and contributing to team growth.
Requirements
- 2+ years of industry experience or a relevant advanced degree
- Solid understanding of Java and JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React) and backend systems (e.g., REST APIs, messaging systems)
- Experience writing unit/integration tests and using CI/CD tools to ship code (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS or GCP) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Comfortable navigating ambiguous problems with guidance, and improving your team’s practices through collaboration
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Awareness of security best practices, especially in handling sensitive data
- Interest in digital payments, e-commerce, or operationally critical systems
- Experience working in a service-oriented architecture or with microservices
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
