Summary:
The Imaging & Colour Specialist at Rodeo FX supports the imaging and colour pipeline by assisting with show setups, workflow execution, and technical support for artists and production teams. Acting as a key operational link between creative teams and technical infrastructure, this role helps ensure efficient, reliable, and user-focused imaging and colour workflows across VFX, Ads, and Experiential projects.
Reporting to the Imaging Department Lead, the Junior Imaging Specialist contributes to maintaining image integrity, colour consistency, and pipeline reliability. This role supports daily operations, assists with tool testing and workflow improvements, and helps troubleshoot technical and pipeline issues. The specialist works closely with senior imaging staff, production teams, Editorial, IO, Pipeline, and Technology departments to ensure seamless show setup and delivery processes.
This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in colour science, imaging workflows, and VFX production pipelines while contributing to Rodeo’s commitment to technical excellence and innovation.

Work closely with senior imaging specialists and leadership to support departmental objectives.
Maintain clear communication with artists, production teams, and technical departments.
Contribute to knowledge sharing by documenting solutions and supporting team learning.
Stay informed on emerging imaging, colour, and VFX pipeline technologies and best practices.
0–2 years of experience in VFX, post-production, imaging, or a related technical field (internships and academic experience considered).
Educational background in Film Production, Imaging, colour Science, Media Technology, Computer Graphics, or related field.
Basic understanding of digital imaging workflows, colour pipelines, or post-production processes.
Interest in colour science, image processing, and display technologies.
Familiarity with VFX production environments and tools is an asset (Shotgrid, Nuke, editorial or pipeline tools).
Basic knowledge of digital formats, resolutions, frame rates, colour spaces, and codecs is an asset.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn and grow technically and professionally.
