The Challenge:
The Take-Two Interactive Legal team is responsible for protecting genre-defining franchises including Grand Theft Auto, Borderlands, Bioshock, Civilization, and more. We disrupt harmful and unauthorized commercial exploitation of world-famous IP while ensuring that our fans and creator communities can engage with the properties that they love.
As Counsel, IP Enablement, you will serve as a tactical leader within our global brand and IP protection program. You will combine deep knowledge of trademark and copyright law and familiarity with the interactive entertainment industry to bridge the gap between high-level strategy and our day-to-day enforcement execution. Working closely with our IP enforcement function in New York, you will collaborate with colleagues across Take-Two legal, key vendors, and liaise with established outside counsel on discrete projects.

Bachelor’s degree and JD from an accredited law school. 5-7 years of focused experience in IP litigation and enforcement, preferably within the interactive entertainment, tech, or digital media industries. Deep working knowledge of copyright and trademark law. Demonstrated excellence in IP enforcement drafting, including C&D letters, takedown notices, trademark oppositions, etc. Sophisticated understanding of gaming ecosystems including modding communities and virtual asset marketplaces. An investigative mindset capable of identifying and effectively targeting the financial and technical support structures for infringing commercial operations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a strong ability to balance multiple matters simultaneously and appropriately prioritize projects. Flexibility for cross-timezone collaboration between India and UK / US. Genuine desire and enthusiasm to work in the video games industry; must be a great teammate with common sense, kindness, good humor, and dedication to succeeding together.
