We’re known for creating iconic franchises like Call of Juarez and the zombie genre-defining Dying Light, which has been played by over 45 million players worldwide. With a focus on open-world action, storytelling, and community engagement, we’re committed to delivering unforgettable experiences to our players.
We’re constantly striving to improve, innovate, and take on new challenges. With ambitious plans for the future, we’re looking for passionate people to be part of this exciting journey.
As a Game UX Researcher, you are the voice of the player within the development cycle. Your role is to provide the data and insights that help our designers, analysts, and QA teams bridge the gap between "how the game works" and "how it feels to play." You’ll manage the end-to-end research process, ensuring that every playtest results in clear, actionable improvements for our titles.
What you will do:
Execute Research: Lead playtest activities across the portfolio—from initial study design and participant moderation to final analysis.
Define Objectives: Work with stakeholders to turn development questions into structured research briefs and testable hypotheses.
Multi-Method Approach: Use a versatile toolkit (surveys, 1-on-1 interviews, focus group interviews, telemetry, eyetracking etc) to diagnose usability issues and player engagement.
Deliver Insights: Synthesize complex data into high-quality, "no-fluff" reports that help stakeholders make informed iteration choices.
Collaborate Across Teams: Build strong working relationships with Game Design, Data Analytics, and QA to ensure research is integrated into the sprint cycle.
Advocate for the Player: Help maintain a player-centric perspective throughout the studio, backed by solid evidence and industry standards.
Experience: 3+ years in UX research (ideally in gaming), with a track record of running studies from start to finish.
Methodology: Deep understanding of UX research practices and the ability to choose the right method for the problem at hand.
Analytical Skill: Ability to extract meaningful patterns from surveys, players behaviour during playtests, telemetry, and qualitative feedback.
Communication: Excellent English skills; you should be comfortable presenting findings to a room of developers and facilitating design discussions.
The "Gamer" Lens: A genuine passion for games and a technical understanding of how they are built and played.
Reliability: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
