Join Framestore as a Data Operator, an entry-level role managing digital data, render farm queues, and resource allocation for visual effects projects. This position is a gateway to future Systems Administrator and Pipeline roles.
**The Data Operations and Render Support department monitors and manages digital data throughout the duration of a project. This includes data coming into the studio, data generated by the project, digital delivery of data to clients and the archiving of completed projects. This position also manages the physical render farm cluster and the software which the render farm runs ensures high availability of resources. This role is an entry point for future Systems Administrator and Pipeline positions.

Responsibilities:
Queue Management: Monitor, prioritize, tracking, reporting and control render farm queues to meet production deadlines.
Error Troubleshooting: Detect render errors, restart failed tasks, and log issues for artists and supervisors.
Resource Allocation: Assign computer power efficiently and manage disk space across file systems.
Communication: Update animators, producers, and CG supervisors on render status and delivery of final frames.
Identifying data for archival and removal and Liaising with technical directors responsible for data removal
Balance multiple shows render resource needs within the Company's physical capacity
Restore data online from a variety of internal sources
Liaise with TDs regarding possible render optimisation, with IT/Techops team for Technical Infrastructure know-hows.
Post-show clean up and final archiving, Restoring data from previous projects
Sharing user showreels of completed projects
