As we expand our global content, we seek a VFX Lead based in Singapore to elevate our visual effects and maintain alignment across Riot and partner studios.

You’ll bridge Riot’s creative vision with partner studio execution, ensuring skin VFX meet a world-class standard through clear feedback, craft direction, and collaboration.

As a VFX Lead on the Singapore Studio (Unpublished R&D Product), you will lead the visual effects discipline, driving craft quality, partner alignment, and production excellence. You will provide clear creative direction, ensure consistency across internal and external teams, and uphold Riot’s quality bar. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and mentor VFX artists to deliver high-quality, readable, and impactful visual effects. You will report into the Associate Art Director of the team.
Required Qualifications:
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about players' experiences, this could be your role!
- 7+ years of professional experience creating visual effects for games, film, or real-time content. - 3+ years in a lead or supervisory role providing feedback, mentorship, and direction to VFX artists. - Deep mastery of VFX fundamentals: timing, color, composition, motion, and readability. - Experience with game engines (Unreal, Unity, or proprietary) and VFX toolchains. - Proven experience collaborating with and managing partner studios or external VFX teams. - Strong communication skills to articulate feedback and creative intent clearly across cultures and disciplines. - Excellent stakeholder management skills; able to work effectively with art, tech, and production partners. - Fluent in English (spoken and written). - Lead, mentor, and grow the VFX craft in Singapore. - Own the full lifecycle management of VFX team members, including performance development and feedback. - Provide clear, actionable feedback to partner studios to ensure quality. - Partner closely with studios throughout the production process to ensure alignment. - Review and evaluate VFX deliveries for guidance on visual impact. - Collaborate with Associate Art Director and other leads to maintain consistency.
