The Data Quality Engineer is a subject matter expert responsible for ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and integrity of data across the 2K gaming platform. This role involves designing and maintaining sophisticated systems to validate game telemetry, player data, and analytics pipelines. As a senior-level individual contributor, you will drive the technical direction for data quality standards, helping cross-functional teams make confident, data-driven decisions regarding gameplay, performance, and the player experience.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent experience - 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data quality, or analytics engineering - Advanced SQL proficiency and experience with large, complex datasets - Hands-on experience with data pipeline and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Spark) - Deep understanding of data validation frameworks and automated testing - Proven experience working with high-volume, event-based data (telemetry, logs, user activity streams) - Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement systemic solutions - Rigorous approach to data accuracy and identifying patterns or anomalies in high-volume datasets - Proven ability to work effectively with technical engineering and non-technical product teams
