Billing Specialist

What You'll Do

• Perform standard invoice creation, recurring billing, customer portal uploads, invoice distribution, and billing queue support.
• Process first-pass invoice corrections and standard credit/rebill activity where SOPs exist.
• Maintain billing documentation, status tracking, and SLA reporting.
• Raise complex billing issues, contract/pricing questions, and customer concerns to regional billing owners or AR Resolution.
• Follow billing SOPs, quality controls, and regional service requirements.
• Support cross-training and backup coverage across regional billing portfolios.
• Use approved AI-enabled and automated tools for billing queue management, invoice preparation support, portal upload tracking, documentation, and status reporting.
• Highlight billing discrepancies, process inefficiencies, and potential automation improvements to the Hub Manager and regional billing leads.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, finance operations, or shared services.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and controls.
• Experience with ERP systems, customer portals, and shared inbox/work queue processes preferred.
• Strong written communication and customer concern handling skills.
• Comfort using approved AI-enabled tools, workflow automation, dashboards, and standard efficiency applications to improve process accuracy, reporting, and scalability.
