We are ARVORE, a startup in the virtual reality content creation scene.
Based out of Los Angeles and São Paulo, our studio creates, designs, produces and develops world-class interactive experiences and games for all current and future high-end immersive platforms, including virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality.
ARVORE is looking to hire a technically adept, creative individual to complement our team. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative immersive and narrative-driven XR experiences, iterating and prototyping with a high level of creative freedom and with the opportunity to guide the direction of some of these endeavors.

JOB DESCRIPTION
3D Artists at ARVORE are multi-talented artists who visually realize the amazing environment and characters that encompass our XR experiences, working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the final product promotes the envisioned emotional experience to the player.
MAIN CROSS-FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITIES:
Create artistic material and assets including Characters, Props and Environments for all XR products, games and experiences;
Actively participate in the early stages of brainstorming and worldbuilding, assuring the best visual translation of that idea;
Ensure the art assets of a project fit the strict real-time rendering performance and requirements proposed on each project;
Research and develop new techniques in order to facilitate the needs of each project while at the same time sharing the knowledge with the rest of the team;
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, leaning on everyone's skills to deliver a high-quality product;
Support the lead and producer in planning and managing your workload to meet project milestones;
Efficiently communicate and support messages and decisions from management.
MUST HAVE:
NICE TO HAVE:
Experience with Unreal Engine;
Be skilled with rigging tools;
Have good timing and sensitivity for animation;
Experience with the process of developing games;
Great communication and presentation skills;
Be familiar with Google G Suite, Monday, Slack, and Git;
A passion for Games, Movies, TV, Art, Animation, Electronics, RPGs, Theater, and narrative experiences would be a great plus;
Advanced English.
- Create high-quality hair, fur, muscle, skin, and costume assets for live-action projects.- Execute simulations, prepare grooms, and perform shot sculpting in collaboration with supervisors.- Work with animated and matchmoved character motions to create new elements.- Provide basic rigging for vehicles, props, and other supporting objects, and assist with simple rig adjustments for CFX simulations.- Proactively communicate technical and artistic approaches and challenges.- Collaborate with animation, assets, FX, and CG teams.- Deliver shot work quotas according to schedule and maintain effective communication with production.- Minimum 3 years of Creature experience in a VFX studio with a technical background.- Strong Houdini knowledge and previous experience with Houdini base groom and CFX simulation in production.- Experience with Linux platform.- Understanding of Animation, Rigging, Modeling, and FX principles.- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems collaboratively.- Open to direction, adaptable, self-driven, and a good team player.
