// Open Role at Discord
Discord is seeking an IT Ops Engineer to own their corporate and remote networking infrastructure, including wireless, LAN, DNS, VPN, and Zero Trust access. This role combines deep networking expertise with broader IT operations responsibilities, focusing on automation and reliable systems for a high-growth gaming platform.
Discord has a highly engaged community of millions of daily active users who use the platform for many different reasons, but there’s one thing that nearly everyone does: play video games. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming, and we are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to hang out before, during, and after playing games.
This is an IT Ops Engineer who owns networking as their domain. It is not a network-only role, and it is not a role for a career network architect. It is built for someone who came up through IT operations and went deep on networking, and who wants to keep broadening from there. You work the full employee technology surface alongside the rest of IT Ops and carry the shared queue, and you own connectivity end to end as the domain where you go deepest. You are measured by leverage and outcomes, not tickets touched.
