Lead the design and implementation of critical HRIS integrations for DNEG, optimizing data flow between HR, project management, and operational systems using Python and SQL in a Linux environment.
The Human Resources Information Systems Integration suite integrates our data from our HR
systems (personal details, organisational data, and reporting lines); our project management
systems (personal skillsets, project allocations, and project roles); and operational data
(timesheet entries); and provides this data to human users for data analysis and software
developers for identifying the roles of specific users.
Key Responsibilities :
• Participate in the design and lead in the implementation of integrations of internal and
commercial software with other HRIS systems.
• Participate in the design and lead in the implementation of new features in the HRIS
integration suite.
• Investigate solutions and techniques to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our
existing integration suite.
• Provide sprint-based updates on tasks’ progress.
• Ensure that bug reports and escalated support requests are dealt with swiftly and
efficiently.
• Work with business analysts, finance, and software developers to gather requirements
and translate them into architectural and feature specifications.
• Write documentation and technical specifications for developed software, create and
update troubleshooting playbooks.
• Communicate development plans and complex technical information to colleagues in
the development team, and to the wider business, adapting your style as appropriate.
• Coordinate and work with teams in remote sites in different time zones.
Must Have :
• 6+ years of non-intern experience in professional software development.
• 4+ years of experience with HR information systems.
• 4+ years of experience with python.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Knowledge of service-oriented architectures.
• Familiarity with development in a Linux environment.
• Knowledge of software development processes including coding standards, version
control, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Eagerness to tackle problems head-on.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent subject or equivalent
work experience.
