A team where everyone makes play happen. **Associate Quality Designer** **About Us:** Our Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) team is an important part of our development process, consistently delivering actionable insights that support our game teams to optimize software performance and elevate gameplay. **About the Role**: The Associate Quality Designer position will require you to provide an oversight of our quality processes and establish best practices for our analyst family together with our leadership team. You will oversee the entire quality plan for one of the modules of the team located in Hyderabad in collaboration with our partners, and partner with the Producer and/or Designer to agree on the quality and feedback for new features. | | | | --- | --- | | **Your Responsibilities** | | **Quality Strategy and Test Planning** | - Leverage testing skills and methodologies to systematically test the product and share results- Help evolve the team’s tools and processes with a focus on expanding capabilities and responsibilities, along with introducing more efficient and accurate practices- Ensure that strategies, plans and other best practices laid out are followed by the team.- Promote a "player-oriented" approach and help achieve a high-quality experience for the players | | **Quality and Data Analysis** | - Report high impact or complex bugs and provide actionable feedback to improve the quality of the game for players- Evaluate and adopt the latest and best practices from other teams, departments or the industry | | **Collaboration and Communication** | - Build partnerships/Collaborate with QV partners, development, production, and design teams.- Provide progress and status updates through reporting and verbal communication, where needed.- Work with multiple teams to drive features through project milestones | | **Mentorship and Team Support** | - Mentor and support team members with QA deliverables and implementation of quality strategies- Drive improvements and knowledge sharing across teams | | | | | --- | --- | | **Our Requirements** | | **Experience and Knowledge** | - 5+ years of experience in software development, quality assurance, or game design- Understanding of quality assurance processes, workflows, and defect and task tracking software- Familiarity with bug prevention and containment strategies- Game Domain knowledge, with inclination towards playing video games for driving end-to-end quality plan throughout the game/pack cycle | | **Skills and Abilities** | - Ability to Create test plans, design test strategies and communicate them effectively.- Passion for creating high-quality player experiences- Excellent collaboration and communication skills | - **Path to becoming a Quality Designer:** - Learn More about the Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) team at EA. - From Government to Game Development, Jessica Makes a Move. Learn More - Barbara Homewood had her heart set on becoming a Librarian and is now a Quality Designer at EA. Learn More - One of our leaders, Ravi Minhas, shares what he is looking for in a Quality Designer.
