- Create high-quality lighting for in-game cinematics, respecting platforms constraints
- Set up image effects processes such as bloom, lens flares, vignetting and color grading.
- Respect technical requirements for the lighting and manage related performance.
- Work with Lead and Art Directors to establish visual targets.
- Seek feedback on your own work and work creatively with autonomy
- Collaborate with different disciplines like mission design, narrative, technical art and vfx to troubleshoot problems and work together to achieve a polished overall result
- 3+ years of experience as a Lighting Artist in the video games industry or relevant real-time industry experience.
- Experience with character lighting and cinematic lighting
- Unreal 5 experience is a plus
- Artistic eye and ability to interpret reference and concept art.
- Good understanding of lighting fundamentals, color theory, materials, cinematography and photography
- Ability to focus the viewer's eye and evoke different emotions through the use of lighting and color to support storytelling
- Understand the technical aspects of a real-time rendering engine, and experience working within performance constraints
