About this job

This role involves building a framework for metagame systems to enable high reusability, rapid development, and scalability for EA teams. The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer will work with game teams to design, develop, launch, and maintain high-traffic services for multi-platform AAA titles, focusing on both front-end and back-end solutions. You will lead engineering pods and provide mentorship to team members.

Requirements

- A Degree in Computer Science or at least 10 years of technology industry experience - Extensive experience with client/server architecture - Experience with micro-service development - Expert understanding of throughput, latency, memory and CPU utilization - Expert development experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Go, Typescript) - Experience with gRPC, Protocol buffers or FlatBuffers - Experience with C#, C++ or Java development - Experience with source code management (Perforce, Git) - Effective with public Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) - Understanding containers, orchestrators and service mesh technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Envoy, Istio, Linkerd, Jaeger) - Understanding of various database and their performance characteristics (SQL and NoSQL) - Familiarity with web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design - Experience working with CI/CD technologies - Passion to investigate and adopt new technologies and practices - Bonus: Experience with frameworks like React or Angular - Bonus: Experience shipping AAA games - Bonus: Experience working with PlayStation and Xbox online systems - Bonus: Experience with cloud native application development
