Job Summary

Lead the charge on monetization and content production for Apex Legends, shaping the future of a top-tier live service game. This role offers the chance to mentor a talented team, innovate development methodologies, and drive strategic initiatives that balance player engagement with business success.

About this job

As the Lead Producer for Content, Monetization and Progression Systems, you are the operational architect behind the game’s primary value drivers. Reporting directly to the Executive Producer, you will oversee the production ecosystems that deliver high-impact player content and sustainable business features, empowering Art, Design, Engineering, and Product Management teams to deliver world-class experiences at a global scale.

Requirements

- Directly manage and mentor a team of Producers and Senior Producers, responsible for their career growth, performance management, and quality of operations. - Partner with the EP to identify staffing gaps, lead hiring initiatives, and ensure a diverse, high-performing production bench aligned with studio DEI and team health goals. - Build an environment where teams can operate with excellence, rather than doing day-to-day tasks for them. - Innovate and adapt development methodologies to increase systemic efficiency and reduce team friction. - Use structured methods to plan and sustain organizational change, proactively identifying and solving bottlenecks in the content pipeline. - Champion data and retrospectives to iterate on work processes, positioning production as a value-add craft. - Act as the primary interface between Content/Monetization pods and broader studio leadership, aligning Creative Directors, Tech Leads, and Product Managers. - Own the high-level roadmap for your verticals, balancing "Revenue Accountability & ROI" with business targets. - Facilitate difficult conversations around scope and priority, identifying risks early and leading trade-off decisions without sacrificing quality or morale. - Design and oversee Co-Development and vendor management strategy, treating external partners as seamless extensions of the internal team. - Manage geographically dispersed teams, ensuring clear communication, cultural integration, and quality control across different time zones and studios. - Efficiently allocate resources across internal pods and external vendors in a live-service environment. - 8+ years of experience in game production, with at least 3 years in a people-management or leadership role. - Proven track record of managing high-budget co-development or external vendor relationships. - Understanding of monetization features and live-service operations, capable of communicating with Product Managers on data and Creative Directors on vision. - Ability to pivot between high-level budget meetings and deep-dive technical blockers. - Player-First mindset, ensuring production decisions prioritize player experience. - Experience launching and sustaining a Top-Tier Live Service title. - Deep expertise in Jira/Confluence and modern project management toolsets. - A history of contributing to the broader production community (speaking, writing, or mentoring).
