About this job

As a Quality Designer (Telemetry) for Battlefield, you will define and implement telemetry strategies to enhance player experience, focusing on game modes, weapon balancing, and in-game events. You will design, review, and improve telemetry tracking plans, analyze large datasets for actionable insights, and partner with QA and development to validate implementation. This role involves mentoring peers, promoting standardization, and reporting findings to stakeholders.

Requirements

- 4+ years of experience in game development, quality assurance, analytics, or telemetry-related roles. - Deep understanding of telemetry, event logging, and data collection practices in live multiplayer shooter games. - Experience designing, implementing, and validating telemetry or instrumentation plans for complex gameplay systems (preferably in AAA shooters). - Proficiency with data analytics, dashboarding, and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or custom solutions. - Ability to analyze and interpret large telemetry datasets, and summarize findings in clear, actionable reports for technical and non-technical audiences. - Practical experience collaborating with the QA and Development team to integrate telemetry requirements throughout the software development lifecycle. - Experience using version control systems (e.g., Perforce, GIT) and familiarity with defect, test case, and task tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Test Rail). - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting data-driven insights to stakeholders and cross-functional teams. - Experience working with distributed teams and external partners, coordinating telemetry best practices and standards. - Familiarity with shooter game mechanics, player engagement metrics, and feature instrumentation methodologies.
