The Senior Concept Artist helps shape the visual identity of our worlds, characters, and hardware through 2D images. They craft photo real illustrations using a mixture of drawing, painting, photobashing, and 3D modeling to establish the creative vision for our project. This work involves extensive research, lots of iteration, and a curiosity for the unknown. The Senior Concept Artist will report to the Art Line Director and partner with our Creative, Design, and Art Directors to explore new ideas, problem solve, and inspire our team. This individual does not task other developers, they lead by doing. **Responsibilities:** - You will create visual target images that support the visual direction, mood and tone of the project.
- You will create readable designs for environments, characters, props, weapons and vehicles that can be translated into 3D assets.
- You will create paint-overs of existing level geometry to guide the work of environment artists and level designers.
- You will collaborate with external vendors by drafting creative briefs and providing artistic feedback to elevate their work.
- You will collaborate with Art Directors to evolve style guides and visual frameworks to ensure consistency across the project.
- You will support senior leaders with presentation and communication deliverables for use in art reviews, stakeholder presentations, and milestone review decks. **Qualifications:** - 5+ years of experience in the video game industry working as a Concept Artist.
- Excellent foundational drawing skills with a portfolio that showcases a deep understanding of anatomy, lighting, composition and color theory.
- Strong sense of industrial design and shape language with an interest in military hardware and locales.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and working proficiency in 3D DCCs like Unreal Engine, Blender, or Cinema4D.
- In-depth knowledge of game production with strong estimation instincts and a willingness to document work.

Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). **PAY RANGES** \\* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) \*$114,300 - $156,200 CAD Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
