This position will primarily be responsible for developing strategic insights to inform Finance and Product leadership on the Epic ecosystem. The Senior Data Scientist will work in a cross-functional team environment under the direction of the Ecosystem Director of Analytics. In addition to other responsibilities, this position will maintain the core business reporting and forecasting that the org relies on, and develop high-leverage data models to improve the efficiency of the entire Insights department.

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).

- Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or in a related field - Expertise with SQL and Python - Familiarity with time series modeling - Demonstrated skills in predictive analytics, especially within complex and high-dimensional environments - Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience delivering presentations to senior leadership, including C-suite executives - Demonstrated understanding of both contemporary video games and analytics best practices - Maintain and evolve core business reporting to analyze fluctuations across our core businesses - Build, maintain, analyze, and leverage time series forecasting methods - Develop and maintain core data models leveraged by the entire department - Perform executive deep dives on high-priority subjects relevant to the Fortnite ecosystem - Build a deep understanding of our products and become an expert on all analytics data collected - Take accountability for the quality of data reported by our products, and work with engineering and QA to consistently monitor and improve our data - Support users of our self-service data pipeline - Collaborate with the ecosystem analytics team to enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization
