Job Overview
As a Senior Matte Painter for our creative team, you will hold a crucial role in crafting the visual landscapes of our projects. Utilizing your expertise in raw painting techniques, photo bashing, render bashing, and a hybrid of these methods, you will be responsible for creating visually compelling matte paintings that seamlessly integrate into the overall visual language of the project.

In accordance with British Columbia's pay transparency legislation, the wage displayed reflects the minimum rate established under ICON's collective agreement. Additional compensation may be considered based on experience, qualifications, and project needs, where permitted by the collective agreement.

- At least 2 years of experience in creating high-quality digital matte paintings in a variety of different art styles. - Strong grasp of art fundamentals such as Perspective, Form, Composition, Anatomy, Color, Value and Lighting. - Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Nuke, and Maya. - Ability to employ a variety of techniques, including raw painting, photo bashing, render bashing, and hybrid methods. - Embrace feedback and implement necessary revisions. - Assume ownership of work and meet project deadlines. - Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and technologies. - Identify and communicate project issues effectively. - Strong communication skills. - Able to work well in a team environment. - Detail oriented and highly organized. - Self-motivated and eager to learn.
