Overview:
We are looking for experienced and talented 3D Vehicle Artists to join Lucid Games to create high quality vehicles models that inform and enhance the quality of any project. We are open to candidates at all levels from Mid to Principal.
You will work alongside the Hard Surface team in crafting content that supports core features of an ambitious AAA game, helping to set and realise the standards for others to follow during the production process. Demonstrating your ability as a broader Hard Surface Artist will also be important.
What you’ll do:
Create stunning hard surface assets based on real-world reference materials, blueprints, concept art and photo-bash material.
Work closely and collaborate with artists, designers, technical artists and external partners.
Maintain a high standard of modelling and texturing to provide consistent and high-quality models.
Work with and/or influence new and established workflows for efficient, and high quality outcomes.
What we’re looking for from you:
Experience building Vehicle Models for video games.
Experience building Hard Surface models for video games.
Experience modelling and texturing high poly assets for games.
Efficient and tidy UV unwrapping skills.
Proven skills in 3D Art tools, specifically Maya, Blender and Substance or transferable skills from similar packages.
Experience with material based workflows.
Understanding of the compromises and constraints inherent in the production of in-game art.
Creativity to design your own assets from sketch to final model.
What can you expect during the Interview Process:
Our interview process typically takes 2-4 weeks depending on availability is usually made up of 3 stages:
1st stage (45 minutes) – An informal chat to discuss your experience and working history relating to the position with members of our Art team and our Head of Talent. In return, we will provide a full overview of the role, life at the studio as well as answer any questions you may have.
Second interview (45 minutes) – Second Interview with our Art Director and Head of Talent. This role will be focussed on the project and your skills and experience. You will have the opportunity to understand how our design teams work and the overall structure of our teams.
Final interview (30 minutes) – A final Interview with our Studio Head and Studio Production Director. This will be a chance for you to get to know the Senior Management team and all the things that make Lucid, Lucid! You will have a lot of opportunities to ask any questions about the studio and Culture.
