You will lead the charge in creating highly optimized, cutting-edge AI systems that will deliver a truly immersive and captivating experience for our players. You’ll lead a small, senior team (2-3 people, including principal-level devs). This role is all about hands-on work, smart decisions, and pushing AI to feel real and responsive. It's not a people-management job, it's about being a technical leader the team can rely on. If you’re passionate about AI development, have a strong foundation in multiplayer programming, and are ready to take on a leadership role, we’d love to meet you! ## WHAT WILL BE YOUR MISSION? - Leading the design, development, and implementation of AI systems that push the limits of realism and immersion in Gray Zone Warfare. - Collaborating closely with our multi-disciplinary team to ensure AI behaviors, navigation, and decision-making processes are perfectly integrated with gameplay. - Creating innovative solutions to manage and optimize a large number of AIs on the server, delivering an unparalleled multiplayer experience. - Mentoring and guiding junior programmers, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork. - Driving continuous improvement in AI systems, ensuring that performance and memory optimization meet the highest standards. ## WHO WILL THRIVE WITH US? - Proven Leadership: 7+ years of experience in game programming with a focus on AI, including at least one shipped premium title in a lead or senior capacity. - Technical Mastery: Exceptional proficiency in C++ and experience with performance optimization and memory management. - AI Expertise: Deep understanding of game AI systems, including Navigation, Pathfinding, Goal-Oriented Action Planning (GOAP), Hierarchical Task Networks (HTN), Behaviour Tree, and Utility AI. - Collaborative Spirit: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a passion for sharing knowledge and helping your team succeed. - Gaming Enthusiast: A true fan of online multiplayer gaming, eager to create the next breakthrough title in the genre. - It is mandatory to be based in Brno, so you must be willing to move.
