👀 The Role
Title: Marketing Compliance Manager
Team: Compliance
Location: Gibraltar, Fulltime Onsite
Salary: £70,000–£75,000
This is an ownership role, not a 'review and sign-off' function. Marketing compliance at Midnite sits at the sharpest edge of regulatory risk in the business, CAP/BCAP Code exposure, ASA scrutiny, and the commercial pressure to move fast on campaigns.
You will own this space end to end: setting the standard, building the judgement calls into a defensible framework, and being the direct point of contact with the ASA.
You will:
Own Midnite’s relationship with the ASA directly, including responding to formal contacts and rulings.
Track and manage the full history of ASA engagement, identifying recurring themes and pushing systemic fixes.
Monitor CAP/BCAP Code amendments and translate changes into practical guidance before they create exposure.
Own the standard for under-18 appeal risk (CAP Code 16.3.12) across social, OOH, sponsorship and influencer content.
Build and maintain a decision framework that Marketing can self-serve for routine content, reserving your time for true edge cases.
Review high-risk placements (athlete partnerships, sponsorship activations, high-reach social) before they go live.
Maintain a live risk register of past rulings (own and competitor) and use it to pressure-test new campaigns.
Own the marketing approval process end to end, designing an operating system that lets Marketing move fast without creating exposure.
Maintain marketing approval logs and audit trails to UKGC and ASA evidentiary standard.
Own marketing compliance reporting into the Compliance Committee, including risk trends and ASA contact history.
Partner with Legal, AFC and Technical Compliance where marketing risk intersects broader regulatory exposure.
The next Midniter:
Deep, current experience in gambling marketing compliance, CAP/BCAP Codes, LCCP, and ASA processes specifically (not generalist compliance).
Direct experience managing ASA contacts and rulings, ideally including contested outcomes.
Strong working knowledge of CAP Code 16.3.12 and under-18 appeal risk as applied to social and sponsorship content.
Comfortable owning judgement calls under commercial pressure and defending them afterwards.
Track record of building frameworks and tools that scale compliance judgement (not just personally reviewing everything).
Confident operating at pace in a high-growth environment without letting standards slip.
Sharp commercial awareness — understands brand and campaign objectives well enough to find the compliant version of what Marketing wants, not just block it.
