👀 The Role
Title: Safer Gambling Analyst
Team: Compliance - Safer Gambling
Location: Cape Town, South Africa (Full time office, 5 days per week)
Salary: R28,000 per month
This is an opportunity for individuals looking to step into a Safer Gambling role and build hands-on experience within Compliance. You will play a key role in protecting our players, engaging directly with customers, and making judgement-based decisions that impact both customer wellbeing and regulatory outcomes. This is an opportunity to develop new skills, gain exposure to compliance, and contribute meaningfully to a critical function within the business.
You will:
Engage with customers via email, chat, and outbound calls regarding safer gambling.
Conduct account reviews to assess gambling-related risk.
Analyse flagged accounts from both safer gambling and AML perspectives.
Handle complaints and escalation cases professionally.
Monitor compliance inboxes and maintain SLA adherence.
Escalate high-risk or complex cases appropriately.
Document decisions clearly and accurately.
Contribute to process improvements and team best practices.
The next Midniter:
Has been with Midnite for at least 6 months and has demonstrated consistent performance.
Is in good standing and not currently under performance management.
Has aligned with their current manager, with support for this secondment opportunity.
Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and sound judgement.
Is highly detail-oriented with strong decision-making ability.
Is motivated to step into a new challenge and develop within Compliance.
