Mob Entertainment is a startup multimedia studio that is best known for our hit indie horror game "Poppy Playtime". This franchise is one of the hottest new properties in gaming, and our team is naturally expanding as our ambition expands. To give a taste of our brand's popularity, more than 100 billion YouTube views of Poppy Playtime related content have occurred since the game's launch 4 years ago.
We’re seeing a detail-oriented and experienced QA Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality gameplay experiences by rigorously testing features, identifying issues and collaborating closely with developers and designers.
The contract rate for this position is listed below. Final compensation within the applicable salary range will be determined based on factors such as the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and work location.
San Francisco, CA; New York City, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Seattle, WA; Boston, MA; & Seattle, WA DC Metropolitan Areas: $21 - $26 USD hourly
Austin, TX; Denver, CO; Nashville, TN; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; & Miami, FL Metropolitan Areas: $18 - $22 USD hourly
All Other U.S. Locations: $15 - $19 USD hourly

- 1 to 2 years of QA testing experience in the video game industry - Comprehensive understanding of QA methodologies, bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA), and version control tools (e.g., Perforce, Git). - Experience testing PC and/or Console game projects - Strong communication skills and ability to provide actionable feedback. - Keen attention to detail and a passion for ensuring quality gameplay experiences. - Ability to work as part of a team within a fast-paced development environment. - Familiarity with Agile or Scrum workflows is a plus. - Experience with Unreal Engine is a plus.
