Playnetic is launching a greenfield frontend initiative to build their next-generation frontend engine from scratch. This Frontend Developer will define the architecture, standards, and framework for future game teams, contributing to a high-performance gaming platform from day one. The role involves building rendering and animation systems and establishing best practices.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in TypeScript- Commercial experience with PixiJS (essential)- Experience building interactive web applications or game engines- Strong understanding of performance optimisation and rendering- Passion for clean architecture, maintainability, and scalable systems- Strong collaboration and communication skills- Solid commercial experience as a Frontend Engineer- Strong understanding of modern frontend development principles- Ability to contribute to scalable, maintainable production systems- Comfortable collaborating within cross-functional teams- Eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a high-performing engineering culture- Bonus: Experience in iGaming, casino, or similar performance-heavy environments- Bonus: Experience building reusable frameworks or shared platforms- Bonus: Exposure to CI/CD, automation, or DevOps practices- Bonus: Experience with observability, performance tuning, or optimisation at scale- Bonus: Strong interest in long-term maintainability and system design
