// Open Role at Princess Bento Studio
Princess Bento Studio seeks a proactive Studio Coordinator to be the heart of their operations. This hands-on role involves managing facilities, coordinating people, supporting productions, and fostering a welcoming studio culture.
At Princess Bento, our Studio Coordinator is at the heart of what makes our studio work.
This is a broad, hands-on role with real ownership of the day-to-day operation of our studio. You’ll keep the practical side of our studio moving, office administration, processes, facilities, and suppliers through to events, communications, purchasing and supporting our people and productions.
And you’ll also have a big influence on how the studio feels.
You’ll be the person who makes sure the studio is welcoming and ready each morning, that visitors and new starters are looked after, that things are where they should be and that problems get sorted before they become bigger problems. You’ll notice what could work better, come up with ideas and have the initiative to make improvements happen.
It’s a role that sits across people, operations and culture, so we’re looking for someone who is equally comfortable organising a supplier, fixing a process, coordinating an event, solving an unexpected problem or making sure someone’s first day goes brilliantly.
You’ll help keep the studio running, make it better and help make it a place people genuinely want to work.
What you’ll be doing
Coordinating the studio: Keeping reception, meeting rooms, kitchens and communal spaces organised, tidy and welcoming; managing supplies, mail, phones, studio access and the many practical details that keep the studio moving.
Coordinating people and activity: Welcoming new starters and visitors, organising meeting rooms and catering, coordinating events, supporting interstate crew with equipment and travel, and supporting offboarding.
Organising suppliers and facilities: Coordinating maintenance, servicing, utilities, contractors and studio purchases, while keeping an eye on safety, workplace essentials and anything that needs fixing.
Supporting the business: Providing practical administration to management, especially our Head of Production and CFO, and helping coordinate casual Studio Administrators who support the studio as needed.
Keeping people connected: Creating our monthly studio newsletter, supporting Slack and intranet communications, and helping keep our crew informed about what's happening around the studio and the broader business.
Helping tell our story: Keeping our socials updated, and supporting award submissions, festival entries and other marketing activity.
Making things better: Finding smarter ways of doing things, improving processes, and bringing ideas about how we can make the studio an even better place to work.
No two days are likely to look quite the same!
About you
You’re organised, approachable and practical, and you naturally notice what needs doing. You’ll bring experience from a studio, office, workplace, administration, or similar people-facing role. You’re someone who can take ownership, juggle competing priorities and get things done.
You’ll be:
A natural organiser who keeps track of details, deadlines, people and moving parts.
Proactive and resourceful, with the initiative to spot problems and sort them out rather than waiting to be asked.
Warm and personable, with a genuine interest in making people feel welcome and looked after.
A confident communicator who can deal comfortably with everyone from new starters and crew to senior leaders, clients, suppliers, visitors and contractors.
A good judge of what needs doing, able to solve things yourself while knowing when to ask for help or escalate.
Interested in making things better, whether that's improving a process, solving a problem or coming up with an idea that makes us an even better place to work.
Happy to pitch in. You’re equally comfortable coordinating an event, sorting out a supplier issue or figuring out why the coffee machine has stopped working.
You’ll need strong organisational and time-management skills, excellent attention to detail and confidence with workplace technology. You’ll have experience with the Google Suite of tools; and experience in Canva or Photoshop would be a bonus.
Most importantly, you’ll care about doing a good job, care about the people around you and take pride in making our studio a great place to work.
You’ll be based in our South Melbourne studio, with some flexibility to work from home when it makes sense. You’ll also need a current Australian driver’s licence.
We're looking for candidates that are available to start on Tuesday 8th of December, 2026.
We’re offering $70,000-$75,000 + super, depending on experience.
