As a Editor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping motion content across brand, marketing, social channels and more. You are a true hybrid maker—capable of developing polished brand films and product UI animations one day, and high-energy, platform-native social content the next.

You understand that great motion design isn’t just about moving parts, but about storytelling, systems thinking, and capturing attention in a crowded digital landscape. You combine elevated design craft with strong editorial instincts, moving effortlessly between long-form brand storytelling and the fast-paced rhythm of social.

You Will:

  • Concept, edit, and animate high-impact motion assets for marketing campaigns, product trailers, and brand storytelling.
  • Own the creation of platform-native content (TikTok, IG, YT, LinkedIn), optimizing for vertical, square, and mobile-first formats while staying ahead of cultural trends.
  • Contribute to our motion design system by defining guidelines, reusable components, and graphic templates that ensure brand consistency across both marketing and in-product UI animations.
  • Partner with Art Directors, Product Designers, and Marketers to translate brand guidelines into flexible executions that feel current and culturally relevant.
  • Apply advanced motion graphics, typography, and exceptional craft to enhance clarity. Maintain organized workflows to support both polished, long-lead projects and high-volume, fast-turn social needs.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of professional motion design experience, with a portfolio showcasing a mix of brand storytelling, social media content, and UI/product animation.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop) and design tools like Figma. Familiarity with 3D tools (Cinema 4D or Blender) is a major plus.
  • Deep understanding of platform-specific behaviors, "in-feed" performance, and how to capture attention within the first 1.5 seconds.
  • A rock-solid grasp of timing, easing, hierarchy, typography, and composition.
  • A flexible, iterative approach to work, comfortable moving between high-fidelity craftsmanship and "lo-fi" social trends in a fast-paced environment.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

Annual Salary Range
$116,470$146,720 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).

Requirements

- Create platform-native videos optimized for vertical, square, and mobile-first formats. - Concept, edit, and animate short-form content including launches, brand storytelling, trend-driven content, and community moments. - Develop motion systems and graphic templates tailored for social channels. - Translate brand guidelines into flexible, social-first executions that feel current and culturally relevant. - Collaborate with art directors, copywriters, and marketers to align content with channel goals. - Apply motion graphics, typography, subtitles, and sound design that enhance clarity and engagement. - Optimize deliverables based on platform specifications and best practices. - Maintain organized workflows to support fast turnarounds and consistent output. - 4+ years of professional experience creating and editing content specifically for social media. - A portfolio that demonstrates excellence in short-form video and motion graphics. - Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects, with strong working knowledge of additional Adobe Creative Cloud tools. - Strong understanding of motion fundamentals including timing, hierarchy, typography, and composition. - Experience producing content optimized for vertical and mobile-first viewing. - Deep familiarity with platform trends and audience behavior across major social channels. - Strong audio instincts including music selection and sound design.
