Auckland | NZD 90 -140k salary range | Fulltime 40hrs a week | ICARUS

A bit about us…
RocketWerkz is an ambitious PC video games studio based on Auckland’s waterfront in New Zealand. Founded by Dean Hall, creator of hit survival game DayZ, we are independently-run but have the backing of one of the world's largest games companies. Our open-world simulation and survival games Icarus and Stationeers are out on Steam, and we have multiple projects in development including Kitten Space Agency.

As an Senior Producer on Icarus, you’ll be a key part of the Icarus team who ensures artists, designers, programmers, narrative, audio and more are aligned with the project’s vision and priorities.


A day in the life…

Every day at Rocketwerkz is different, but here are a few things you can expect to do in your role:

  • Proactively ensure smooth communication between individuals and their wider team

  • Work closely with the team lead to share priorities, distribute tasks, track milestones and document key decisions

  • Facilitate project testing and communicate feedback back to your team

  • Track project progress and find improved ways of working

  • Plan and ship weekly game updates

  • Communicate with the player community

  • Help collectively schedule your team's time off and workload to avoid systemic crunch

Requirements

To get this all done, you will have:

  • At least 6 years of games industry experience

  • Live ops experience publishing frequent game updates

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence (or similar project management tools)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

We’d love it if you also have:

  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5

  • A published game

  • Leadership, training or coaching experience

  • A love of spreadsheets and wikis
