About this job
This Design Engineer will bridge the gap between design and engineering teams, implementing and optimizing interactions, details, and animations for world-class digital products. They will prototype with code, translate cutting-edge design concepts into performant product features, and champion frontend craft, including interaction design, animation, and accessibility.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Frontend Engineer, Creative Developer, Design Technologist, or similar role.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated passion for craft, polish, and creating best-in-class digital experiences.
- Advanced working knowledge of CSS – including animations, responsive design, rendering performance, browser capabilities, and modern best practices.
- Proven experience crafting sophisticated UI animations and interactive experiences using GSAP or comparable animation libraries.
- Strong proficiency with modern design tools, including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficiency in React and Typescript.
- Demonstrated ability to prototype and communicate ideas through code rather than static mockups alone.
- Experience collaborating closely with both designers and engineers throughout the product development lifecycle.
