Rockstar Games is seeking a passionate Developer Advocate to join their Creator Platform team, focusing on enhancing the developer experience for FiveM and RedM multiplayer modification platforms. This role involves translating complex technical concepts into clear guides, tutorials, and API references to empower a global community of creators and server owners. The position is full-time and based in Rockstar’s London studio.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing, developer documentation, or a related role, ideally in the gaming or software development industry.
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, concise, and well-structured written content.
- Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Lua, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or similar).
- Experience working with documentation tooling and platforms (e.g., Markdown, static site generators, wikis, or docs-as-code workflows).
- Strong technical comprehension, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies, APIs, and developer tools.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience producing tutorials, API references, or developer guides.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Product Management, Developer Relations, and Community teams to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.
- Comfort working with version control systems (e.g., Git) and contributing to documentation repositories.
- A user-focused mindset, always considering the developer or creator audience when producing content.
