This Data Governance Expert will build and run an enterprise-scale data governance program for a global data warehouse within Scopely's Playgami team. The role involves translating security, privacy, legal, and compliance requirements into actionable policies, collaborating with engineering teams for implementation, and maintaining governance documentation.
Requirements
- 4 to 7 years of experience in data governance, data management, privacy, compliance, or related areas
- Good understanding of data security and privacy concepts, such as PII handling, access control, and auditability
- Experience working with data teams to implement policies in real systems
- Ability to translate requirements into practical solutions with technical teams
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across different teams and functions
- Pragmatic mindset, focusing on solutions that work in real environments
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving needs
- Experience with modern data platforms such as BigQuery or Snowflake
- Familiarity with IAM concepts and BI tools
- Exposure to regulated environments or sensitive data domains
- Experience working in multi-team or global organizations
