This role involves building and maintaining scalable, production-grade distributed systems for an ambitious unannounced mobile game. The engineer will develop core systems and features for large-scale, real-time experiences, tackling complex technical challenges involving real-time interaction, large-scale systems, and a persistent shared world.
Requirements
- Experience in building, and maintaining scalable, production-grade distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of networked and distributed systems, cloud security best practices, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with network protocols for real-time communication, such as gRPC and WebSocket.
- Proficiency in one or more of Java, Go, C#, Python.
- Familiar with Git, Bash and Gradle.
- Professional proficiency in both Mandarin and English.
- BS / MS in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience shipping at least one online game or app.
- Experience in managing IaaS environments and deploying on cloud platforms such as Alibaba Cloud (Alicloud), AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes cluster management, infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Experience using data processing frameworks and data warehouse.
- Experience using AI tools to speed up the development lifecycle and improve efficiency.
