As a Lighting Artist, you will help create breathtaking environments and cutscenes for our players to explore and enjoy. Leveraging both global and local lighting across dynamic day / night cycles, you will set the mood, direct player focus, and craft unforgettable atmospheres that enhance gameplay.
Your daily tasks:
Lighting both indoor and outdoor locations in open world games, for a full day and night cycle, in multiple weather conditions.
Lighting for both gameplay and real time cutscenes of varying complexity, ensuring proper technical execution for the former and optimal character readability for the latter.
Ensuring lighting is optimized across all platforms and adheres to team pipelines and project specifications.
Contributing on testing and providing feedback for the continued development of our lighting pipelines and technology.
Participating in brainstorming and planning for the lighting of content of any kind.
Working with our proprietary editor, C-Engine.
Collaborating with the Lighting Team, Lead Lighting Artist and Art Director.
Proven experience creating lighting art for at least one shipped game, and demonstrated via a professional portfolio.
Experience spanning the entire production lifecycle of a game, with a particular focus on contributing to its launch.
Great artistic skills, including a good sense of colour and composition.
Passion for games and knowledge of the game industry from the player's perspective (knowledge of games previously released by Techland will be a huge plus).
Strong proficiency in finding and analyzing reference materials from various sources, along with a solid capacity to extract and convey ideas clearly.
Great teamwork skills and being a reliable team member.
Very good level of English (spoken and written).
Nice to have:
Familiarity with level and environment art.
Experience in open world and/or full day and night cycle games.
Experience with proprietary game engines.
Artistic skills (photography, painting, modeling, etc.).
