As our Finance & Business Operations Working Student, you'll support the financial backbone of our studio while gaining hands-on experience in startup operations. You'll work closely with our leadership team and gain exposure to accounting, financial processes, business operations, and scaling an independent game studio. You'll also occasionally support our HR team with administrative tasks and help ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the company.
This role is ideal for students who want practical experience beyond traditional accounting and are interested in how finance and operations enable a growing gaming company. It's a great opportunity to gain exposure to multiple business functions within a fast-paced startup environment.
• Oversee bank account activity and transfers.
• Ensure all transactions have a receipt or invoice attached.
• Collect invoices from multiple platforms.
• Upload missing receipts and invoices to Qonto.
• Ensure employees, freelancers, and service providers follow internal policies and procedures.
• Ensure all invoices contain the relevant payment details.
• Manage the internal finance Google inbox.
• Request updates on outstanding invoices as needed.
• Collect all relevant sales/financial reports.
• Bring ideas on how to automate or improve accounting workflows.
• Support the HR department in day-to-day activities.
Essential qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a BWL or related degree program.
• Attention to detail and comfort working with figures and financial records.
• pro-active, problem-solving, reliable, trustworthy.
• Good written and spoken English and German.
Preferred qualifications
• Prior exposure to accounting or finance topics through coursework or internships.
• Familiarity with tools such as Qonto, Excel, Google Workspace, DATEV, Slack, or similar.
