- 3-5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials configuration and support experience in a business analyst or functional analyst capacity
- Deep working knowledge of one or more Workday Financial Management modules, with the ability to configure business processes, validation rules, condition rules, and security independently
- Demonstrated ability to support day-to-day Finance operations while simultaneously contributing to project-based work and strategic initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management skills — you can navigate competing priorities, manage expectations across Finance and IT, and communicate clearly at all levels
- Experience conducting business requirements gathering, gap analysis, and writing functional design documents
- Solid understanding of core finance and accounting concepts (GAAP, month-end close, AP/AR workflows, expense management) and how they translate to Workday configuration
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple open requests and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative approach to problem-solving, with a track record of building trusted relationships with Finance business partners
- Workday Pro certification in Financial Management (preferred)
- Experience supporting Workday in a publicly traded company with SOX compliance requirements (preferred)
- Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning and its relationship to the Financials module (preferred)
- Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics or Workday Reporting (composite reports, matrix reports, calculated fields) (preferred)
- Experience with tools such as Coupa, Workiva, Concur, or other Finance-adjacent applications that integrate with Workday (preferred)
- Prior experience supporting a Finance team through a Workday optimization or module expansion project (preferred)
