Hasbro has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and Patent Department professional with 4+ years of experience to join our Patent Department in Rhode Island! This position is a key part of the legal team supporting Hasbro's patent function including patent clearance, due diligence and patent searching to support Hasbro's patent counsel. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle a broad range of matters with professionalism and discretion. Good interpersonal and organizational skills, a proactive "can do" attitude, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with sound judgment are paramount!
Effective from on January 4, 2027, this position will be onsite Tuesday – Thursday at Hasbro’s new HQ location in Boston, MA. In the interim, this position will be onsite Tuesday –Thursday at Hasbro’s HQ in Pawtucket, RI or at Hasbro’s temporary location in Boston, MA

- Strong understanding of patent related concepts.- Strong familiarity with patent database management tool Anaqua including ability to search fields, upload documents, and build spreadsheets.- Extensive familiarity and ability to search United States Patent and Trademark Office website, Google Patents and Espacenet sites for patents and patent documents.- Ability to use Claude for prior art searching to help process clearances.- Strong attention to detail and timelines.- Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint and Word tools.- Excellent judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills.- Internally motivated and ability to see and solve problems, and ask questions without prompting.- Ability to manage a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment, with curiosity and flexibility to learn new technologies and contribute to team knowledge-sharing.
