- Previous experience building and running distributed applications in AWS - Expert in Linux (Ubuntu, RedHat, Debian) - Comfortable writing code in Python - Strong experience using configuration management solutions (Salt, Puppet, Chef, Ansible) - Experience using source control for code management (Git, Perforce, SVN, etc.) - Ability to write or modify large code changes that affect scripts and infrastructure code - Certified in Basic Security Principals in at least one cloud platform - Certified in Cloud Account Administration in at least one cloud platform - Ability to identify root causes of issues and fix most issues independently during on-call scenarios - Proactively identify alerting trends and create development tasks to address those trends - Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills - Ability to effectively communicate upwards with proper frequency, ensuring high transparency and breaking down technical concepts for varied technical backgrounds - Experience with Azure (Bonus) - Experience with Jenkins (Bonus) - Experience with Docker (Bonus)
