WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
Main challenge
We are looking for a Lead VFX Artist to lead the VFX discipline across our games, combining strong artistic expertise with team coordination, visual direction, and pipeline development. You will work closely with the Art Director and key stakeholders across the studio to ensure a consistent visual and technical quality across all VFX, while supporting project and studio goals.
You will oversee the VFX process from initial concepts and prototyping through implementation, iteration, optimisation, and final delivery. Working with our proprietary engine and in-house tools, you will also contribute to the evolution of our VFX workflows, standards, and technology.
What it means on a daily basis
What success will look like
After 3 months, you will have built a strong understanding of the studio's projects, VFX workflows, team structure, and production requirements. You will have established effective working relationships with the Art Director and key stakeholders across the studio.
After 6 months, you will be independently driving VFX priorities, supporting the team in delivering against project goals, and contributing to the evolution of VFX standards, workflows, and quality across the studio.
Who you would be working with
You will report to the Studio Art Director and work closely with VFX artists, Art Leads, Producers, Gameplay, Tech Art, Engineering, and other art and development teams. You will also collaborate with internal and external partners throughout the production process.

Demonstrated advanced expertise in real-time VFX for games with a strong portfolio. Strong knowledge of visual effects techniques for 3D game engines and industry-standard engines (Unity, Unreal, CryEngine). Solid understanding of how VFX contribute to gameplay and player experience. Experience creating particle systems and VFX in 3D packages like Maya, Houdini, or 3ds Max, including VFX plugins. Ability to establish priorities, manage workflows, and coordinate a VFX team while maintaining quality and delivery standards. Ability to take initiative, provide creative input, and apply feedback. Willingness to work with in-house tools and contribute to proprietary technology. Expertise in GLSL or HLSL is beneficial. Previous mobile game development and animation experience are a plus. Fluent professional English is required for international collaboration.
