// Open Role at Goliath Games
We are looking for an experienced packaging designer to join Goliath.
We make toys and games that are sold around the world, including Sequence, Wahu, Clickeez and Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty. We develop a lot of new products every year, which means we also create a lot of packaging.
For this role, we are looking for someone with a really strong portfolio in consumer packaging. Someone who can look at a product, understand what is good about it and translate that into packaging that works in a store.
You should be able to do more than execute a brief. We want you to have a view on the brand, the hierarchy, the structure, the photography, the typography and what should stand out on shelf. If you think the brief is wrong, we expect you to say so.
You will work on both new products and existing brands. Some projects start with little more than a product concept. Others involve improving an established range or finding a better way to present a product internationally.
You will work closely with our product, brand and commercial teams and with colleagues in Europe, the UK, US and Hong Kong. You will also work with photographers, illustrators and external agencies when needed.
You need to understand the technical side as well. A good concept still has to become a box that can actually be produced. Experience with print, packaging structures, artwork and production is therefore important.
Requirements
We don't particularly care whether your current title is Senior Designer, Packaging Designer or something else. We do care about the work. This is also not a DTP role. There is production work involved, as there always is with packaging, but we're hiring this person primarily for their design ability and judgment.
Benefits
Please send us your CV and portfolio. For us, the portfolio will be the most important part of the application.
