Head of Studio

With multiple awards to our name, Larian Studios has proven that we’re dedicated to delivering high-quality role-playing games As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Head of Studio to lead the Dublin team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect.

• Day to day Operational Management of the Dublin studio, including project and budget management
• Provide HR support and consultation to the Dublin studio team 
• Daily supervision and leadership of team members alongside project managers
• Mentorship and coaching of people, supporting recruitment, overseeing new employee on-boarding and career development
• Closely cooperate and communicate transparently with, Larian’s Directors, company headquarters, and other Studio Heads
• Ensure Dublin team harmony, team resilience and foster a vibrant, fun,  productive studio work environment 
• Be a strong advocate of the Larian culture and live by Larian’s values
• Be the face of the studio, speaking at conferences and promoting the studio
• Work with local colleges and course providers to run Internship programmes based on studio/team requirements 
• Liaise with local authorities to ensure the studio is always in line with local laws and regulations. 
• Work with local authorities and governments to develop strategies to improve the gaming sector in Ireland. Be the voice of Larian at a local level to ensure government strategies align with Larian’s vision.  
• Work with authorities and governments to successfully claim any tax credits available to Larian (R&D, DGTC) 
• Proven experience working in a Leadership role in the Games Industry or a similar creative industry, working with multidisciplinary teams
• Project Management, Coaching \ Mentorship or Project Delivery experience
• Experience working with international teams, and a track record of developing effective working relationships internally and externally
• Understanding of Game or Product development life cycles
• Player and People-focused
• Demonstrate sound judgment consistently, and take ownership of decisions within your area of responsibility
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and capable of adapting to changing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English 
• Passionate about games and RPGs
• Experience working in HR
• Experience working for international companies
• Leadership or Coaching qualifications
• Entrepreneurial experience, building successful teams   
• An international team of over 500 employees spread across 7 studios around the world, each of which have their own unique qualities, and maintain a small-studio feel

Proven experience in a leadership role within the games or creative industry, working with multidisciplinary teams. Strong background in project management, coaching, or project delivery. Experience with international teams and effective relationship building. Understanding of game or product development life cycles. Player and people-focused approach with sound judgment and ownership. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Passion for games and RPGs. Experience in HR and working for international companies is a plus, as are leadership/coaching qualifications and entrepreneurial experience.
