As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and developing innovative mechanical and electromechanical solutions that help shape the future of our gaming products.
What You'll Do
Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical components for new products and enhancements to existing platforms.
Create detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and design documentation using SolidWorks and associated design tools.
Transform product requirements and technical specifications into practical, manufacturable engineering solutions.
Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles to optimise quality, cost, performance, and reliability.
Work closely with engineering, production, suppliers, and cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Support prototyping, testing, validation, and product improvement activities.
Contribute to project planning by identifying technical risks, opportunities, and feasibility considerations.
Ensure designs meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
Capture and interpret customer and stakeholder requirements to deliver innovative solutions that exceed expectations.
What You'll Bring
Proven experience using 3D CAD tools, ideally SolidWorks
A broad understanding of multiple engineering disciplines, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practical design scenarios
Strong knowledge of design for manufacture (DFM) principles and value engineering approaches
A hands‑on mindset, with experience supporting workshop prototyping and product development
Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to a range of stakeholders
Experience within the gaming industry (desirable but not essential)
Familiarity with PLM Manufacturing systems and an understanding of electrical connectivity (advantageous)

Working Model
This role is based at our Chadderton office and follows a 4-day-per-week onsite working model. We believe that regular in-person collaboration helps drive innovation, strengthens teamwork, and enables our engineers to create the exceptional products we're known for.
