THE DIFFERENCE YOU’LL MAKE:

You’ll craft beautiful, intuitive, and engaging user interfaces that are not only functional, but visually iconic. Your work will shape how players interact with the game - making their experience feel smooth, delightful, and memorable.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Utilise artistic skill and knowledge in creating user interfaces based on provided wireframes and layouts, but also follow pre-set art direction and style
Create in-game assets and visual solutions utilizing knowledge of graphic design to support Live Ops campaigns
Create optimised vector and raster assets for the game, ranging from menus, buttons, backgrounds, icons and other game features, while maintaining a consistent visual aesthetic
Participate in the ideation process by providing UI mockups, sketches, concepts, and suggestions for various game features
Collaborate closely with fellow artists, Art Director, UX and Game Designers, Developers, and other roles in the team to shape the game into the final product

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:

You’ll be a part of a multidisciplinary game team, collaborating with other UI artists, the Art Director, UX and Game Designers, and Engineers
You’ll also be part of a wider art community at Nordeus, where sharing, learning, and leveling up your craft is part of everyday life

WE ARE A MATCH, IF YOU:

Have at least 1 year of relevant experience in UI art or graphic design
Have excellent understanding of graphic design layout, typography, logo and iconography
Have a solid grasp of color, value, texture, usability, and aesthetics as they relate to user interfaces, and the ability to use them to create efficient and impactful UI
Have excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable in explaining and discussing your design thinking with peers
Have proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma
Are not shying away from learning new tools and processes in our game-making pipeline, from creation to implementation
Have great time management skills, punctuality, and organisational skills regarding folder structures, naming conventions, working-file discipline, and documentation

BONUS POINTS:

Familiarity with Unity
Experience with Adobe After Effects
Knowledge of 3D modelling software
Experience with UI animations and VFX visualisation
You enjoy playing games

ABOUT YOUR PORTFOLIO:

We’d love to see your latest portfolio that includes at least one ‘breakdown’ of your visual design process - from the initial concept or brief all the way to the final polished result. This helps our UI team best assess your ability to create visually engaging, consistent, and user-friendly interfaces
In general, try to focus on showcasing your UI design skills first and foremost, such as layout, typography, hierarchy, and attention to detail
