Join Pipeworks Studios as a senior UI/UX Designer II to own the experience design for a high-profile digital collectible card game. Define information architecture, interaction models, and player flows for core gameplay and metagame systems.
Pipeworks Studios is seeking a UI/UX Designer II to serve as the senior UI/UX individual contributor and primary experience-design owner for a high-profile digital collectible card game. This role will define the information architecture, interaction models, and player flows for data-driven actions across core card gameplay, persistence, progression, and related metagame systems.
The designer will translate complex game rules, feature requirements, and data states into cohesive player experiences that UI art and engineering can implement clearly and consistently. The role owns UX strategy, interaction design, and production-ready specifications while partnering with UI art on visual execution and engineering on implementation.
Experience with free-to-play (F2P) collectible card games (CCGs), whether through professional development or demonstrated subject matter expertise, is highly preferred. A strong understanding of the genre's player expectations, collection management, progression systems, and interconnected gameplay loops will be particularly valuable for success in this role.
This is a full-time temporary role with the possibility of extension or conversion to regular full-time employment after six months. Our studio is based in Eugene, Oregon, and the successful candidate may choose to work fully remotely, in a hybrid arrangement, or in the office.
