Position: CFX TD - Mid
Hiring Range: $80,000 to $98,000/year for a 40-hour work week
Term Contract: 3month-contract starting mid-October 2026

POSITION PURPOSE
The Mid Creature FX TD is responsible for delivering high quality work in a quick and efficient manner. CFX TDs will work to design and create simulations related to the realistic movement of a creature, including clothing, hair, fur, skin and muscles. They will apply notes provided by the show Supervisors and CFX leads, and communicate with other artists assigned to the show to make sure work completed is consistent.
CFX TDs will proactively identify and troubleshoot problems as needed and will ask for assistance when necessary to ensure effective use of time and resources. They will communicate with other departments to ensure they are receiving data to resolve shot related problems.

- Collaborate closely with Creative/Art Director and other team members. - Create high-quality character movements, facial animations, and environmental effects. - Ensure all animations are fluid, dynamic, and stylistically consistent with the game’s visual style. - Implement animations within the game engine, optimizing them for performance and technical specifications. - Maintain regular communication with the development team to align animations with game mechanics and narrative requirements. - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in animation techniques. - Ensure on-time delivery of tasks and effective time management. - Proactively communicate delays and bottlenecks. - Deliver work according to project specifications and requirements. - Deliver work according to studio’s quality standards as specified by the discipline lead. - Follow instructions and adhere to best practices. - Track time daily with a written status update of your tasks. - Continuously improve skills and apply learning from one task to the next.
